Jira Admin Essentials
Jump Start to Jira for Systems Administrators is a two-day, hands-on course designed for experienced systems administrators who are new to Jira and need to deploy, manage, and scale it as part of their enterprise toolset. The course provides a deep dive into Jira’s administration model, core concepts, and configuration capabilities, enabling administrators to confidently manage projects, users, workflows, and integrations.
Participants will gain practical experience working with Jira schemes, workflows, custom fields, and project configurations. The course emphasizes how Jira components interact, allowing administrators to design scalable, maintainable configurations that support multiple teams and project types. Learners will also explore Jira’s role-based access model, user lifecycle management, remote access methods, and integration options, preparing them to support Jira in real-world production environments.
Approximately half of the course is dedicated to hands-on labs, reinforcing theoretical concepts through guided exercises. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to administer Jira effectively, customize workflows and fields to match organizational processes, manage users and permissions securely, and integrate Jira into broader operational ecosystems.
