Course Description
Learn the basics of Lectora, including an introduction to many of the menus within the application andthe various object properties. In this one-day instructor-led class, you’ll learn to build an eLearningcourse from scratch consisting of chapters, sections, pages, and a graded test
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Launch and navigate the Lectora interface efficiently.
- Create new titles, including responsive titles, blank titles, and titles generated from PowerPoint imports or predefined templates.
- Use the Design Wizard and manage existing titles within the Lectora environment.
- Understand and apply Lectora modes, the book metaphor, and inheritance to structure a course effectively.
- Build a complete eLearning title using chapters, sections, and pages.
- Configure chapter, section, and page properties to support instructional flow and design.
- Add, organize, and manage objects within a title, including text, buttons, shapes, lines, web windows, and form elements.
- Apply common object properties and create interactive elements using actions.
- Develop navigation structures using tables of contents and custom interface components.
- Create custom certificates for course completion.
- Build assessments by adding tests and configuring various question types.
- Utilize Snagit to support media creation within Lectora projects.
- Publish content using appropriate publishing options, including exporting to HTML.
Course Prerequisites
Students must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Have a copy of Lectora (complimentary temporary access to Lectora provided upon request)
- Proficiency using a Web browser
- Basic Windows knowledge, including the ability to:
- Launch applications using the Start menu
- Use the taskbar to switch between Windows applications
- Use Windows Explorer to navigate the file structure, change the view of file listings, move and copy files, and create new folders (or directories)
- Copy and paste text
