Advanced Administration for Unified Communications Manager and Features (AAUCMF v12.5) is a five-day, instructor-led training course designed for experienced Cisco unified communications administrators who need deep technical knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) advanced features, services, and troubleshooting. This course builds on foundational CUCM administration skills and explores advanced call routing, multi-site dial-plan implementation, mobility features, intercluster communications, protocol signaling, media resources, and diagnostic tools. Lab exercises reinforce real-world implementation and diagnostic techniques using both SCCP and SIP phones as well as H.323 and SIP gateways. AAUCMF is not a certification course but a skills-focused advanced training that combines material from multiple Cisco and industry sources to prepare learners for complex CUCM environments.
- Explain CUCM signaling behavior for phones, gateways, and media resources using SCCP, SIP, and H.323 protocols
- Implement inbound and outbound call routing in multi-site environments with overlapping directory numbers
- Configure Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) for both SCCP and SIP devices
- Manage intersite and intercluster call routing using Local Route Groups and automated alternate routing (AAR)
- Implement call admission control (CAC), hardware media resources, and Tail-End Hop-Off (TEHO)
- Deploy mobility features including Extension Mobility, Unified Mobility, and Device Mobility
- Use CUCM diagnostic tools such as Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT), TranslatorX, and trace files for troubleshooting
- Deploy and manage Call Admission Control, Native Call Queuing, and intercluster CAC
- Configure basic Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) functions and local transcode resources
- Generate and interpret trace files for SIP, SCCP, and H.323 call signaling and resource allocation
- Experienced Unified Communications Engineers with prior CUCM administration experience
- Professionals who have completed Administering CUCM and Unity Connection (ACUCM + AUC) and are seeking deeper, advanced capabilities
