Building Data Lakes on AWS

This course teaches participants how to design, build, and operate an operational data lake on AWS that supports analysis of both structured and unstructured data. Learners explore common data lake architectures and gain hands-on experience using AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, and Amazon Athena to ingest, catalog, secure, process, and analyze data. Through lectures and labs, the course emphasizes best practices for planning, securing, and managing data lakes while enabling analytics and visualization. By the end of the course, participants will be able to implement a scalable, secure, and analytics-ready data lake on AWS.
