Course Description

Cisco DTSIP – SIP Trunk Operations is a five-day instructor-led training course that teaches the features, configuration, and operational aspects of the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) as deployed in Cisco Collaboration environments. The course begins with an in-depth examination of SIP messaging and Session Description Protocol (SDP), including early offer, early media, and media termination points. Learners then focus on configuring SIP trunks, SIP profiles, and URI dialing in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), along with call routing and SIP normalization. The course includes extensive hands-on labs and advanced troubleshooting techniques, including collecting and interpreting SIP traces and debugs to diagnose real-world SIP communication issues.

  • Configure and optimize Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) for enterprise call routing using pattern maps, translation profiles, and policy groups
