Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Preparation
In order to protect sensitive national security information, the Department of Defense (DoD) has launched the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). The CMMC is a comprehensive framework designed to ensure that all defense industrial base (DIB) contractors meet specific cybersecurity requirements when handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Why is the CMMC Important? According to the Department of Defense (DoD), the loss of unclassified information from DIB contractors is a potential risk to our economy and national security.
Who Needs to Comply with the CMMC? Any defense company that does business with the DoD will need to comply. Compliance requirements also impact any subcontractors and any supplier that the prime contractor works with across the supply chain.
