This ‘Master Developer’ training course will focus exclusively on building your creative software skills and techniques using the Articulate 360 suite, predominantly focusing on Storyline 360.

Audience

During this class, you will explore the extensive capabilities of Articulate Storyline 360 to build interactive user experiences beyond the standard features found in the software itself.

It is therefore recommended that all participants have at least 3 years development experience with Articulate Storyline 360. If you are looking to become better familiarized with Storyline, why not try our Advanced Level 2 Storyline Course

This class provides an ideal opportunity for eLearning development professionals already proficient with Storyline to elevate their skills from advanced to masterful.

By the end of this one-day class, you’ll not only have a deeper understanding of Storyline 360’s extensive capabilities but also the confidence to further explore the possibilities of building data-driven, interactive eLearning experiences that captivate and engage your learners.

Description

This class delves into several advanced techniques that make it possible to build ‘connected’ experiences in Articulate Storyline, transforming how users interact with live and variable data.

The morning session will commence with an exciting project focused on integrating external data into Storyline using the JS Fetch API (following an overview of how to utilize RESTful APIs in Storyline).

Participants will learn to manipulate ‘open-source’ live data to visualize it within a custom Articulate Storyline project, setting the foundation for creating responsive and engaging user experiences.

The afternoon session will shift the focus onto building advanced interactive animation sequences in Storyline by utilizing third-party animation scripting libraries that will extend your creative capabilities beyond the standard animation features.

Participants will get the opportunity to enhance their interactive projects by exploring advanced animation techniques using GSAP, adding a layer of visual flair and sophistication to their user experiences. The workshop will balance demonstration and active participation, uncovering a deeper understanding of Storyline 360’s capabilities and how to employ them creatively.

Learning Objectives:

  • Analyse the wider capabilities of the ‘Execute JavaScript’ functionality of Articulate Storyline 360 to manage and modify captured data using the JS Fetch API and RESTful APIs.
  • Manipulate data within Storyline as project variables to visualize live data sources within a graphical user experience.
  • Understand the benefits and potential use cases GSAP animation library for producing enhanced interactive visual effects for your own eLearning experiences.
  • Create your own advanced data-driven experiences during our class for reference as you proceed forward following the event.
